Employ.ng: A Job Platform That Works for Every Nigerian
At employ.ng, we believe that finding a job should never be harder because of a disability, device, or internet challenge. We are building Nigeria’s most accessible recruitment platform so that every Nigerian — whether you’re blind, deaf, motor-impaired, neurodivergent, or using a small phone on 2G in a rural area — can search and apply for jobs with dignity and ease.

Our Accessibility Commitment

We are continuously working to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards and the Nigeria National Policy on Inclusive Digital Accessibility (2024). We test with real Nigerian users who have disabilities and low-end devices. What We’ve Already Done

  • Full keyboard navigation (no mouse needed)
  • Screen-reader friendly (proper labels, headings, and ARIA landmarks)
  • Tested and certified with NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack
  • High-contrast mode and adjustable text size (up to 300%)
  • All images and icons have meaningful alt text
  • Captions and transcripts for all video content
  • Simple, predictable layouts that work on feature phones and slow networks
  • Forms that announce errors clearly and tell you exactly how to fix them
  • Colour-blind safe palettes (we passed Achromatopsia, Deuteranopia, and Protanopia tests)
  • No flashing content that could trigger seizures
