Terms and Conditions employ.ng, Effective Date: 28 November 2025. Welcome to employ.ng (“the Platform”), Nigeria’s trusted recruitment and career marketplace. By accessing or using employ.ng (website, mobile app, or any related services), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform
1. Definitions“We”, “Us”, “Our” – Employ Nigeria Limited (RC 1784521), owner and operator of employ.ng
“You”, “User” — Any visitor, job seeker, employer, recruiter, or agency using the Platform
“Job Seeker”– Individuals creating profiles or applying for jobs
“Employer”– Companies, recruiters, or individuals posting jobs or purchasing services
2. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Employ Nigeria Limited. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use employ.ng. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Account Registration & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
5. Services for Job Seekers
(Free)Creating a profile, uploading CVs, and applying to jobs is completely free.
You may receive job alerts via email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your profile and CV to registered employers.
6. Services for Employers
(Free)Free job postings might be limited in the future and may be removed at our discretion.
Paid services (featured listings, CV database access, bulk credits) may be introduced and will be governed by separate invoices and the pricing on our website at the time of purchase.
All fees are in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
Payments will be non-refundable except where expressly stated or required by Nigerian law.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:Post fake, fraudulent, or scam jobs
Request money, gifts, or bank details from job seekers
Discriminate on the basis of tribe, religion, gender, age, disability, or any protected characteristic under Nigerian law
Spam, harass, or threaten other users
Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers without written permission
Post adult content, gambling, MLM/pyramid schemes, or illegal opportunities
We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend/terminate accounts that breach this clause without prior notice and without refund, as the case may be.
8. Content Ownership & Licence
You retain ownership of your CV, company logo, and job descriptions.
By uploading content, you grant employ.ng an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, modify, and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
9. Privacy & Data Protection
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. We will never sell your data to third parties.
10. Verification & Quality Control
While we manually verify most job postings, we do not guarantee the accuracy, legitimacy, or safety of any employer or opportunity. Job seekers apply at their own risk and are encouraged to research companies independently.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:employ.ng is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of income, data, or employment opportunities.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (or ₦50,000 for free users).
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold employ.ng, its directors, employees, and partners harmless from any claims arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Platform.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or harms the Platform or other users.
14. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any dispute shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to mediation in Lagos.
If mediation fails, parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Lagos State High Court or the Federal High Court, Lagos.
15. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our control (internet outages, power failure, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions, etc.).
